When we discovered that many of our troops did not have access to stationery or greeting cards to write home, we knew that there was something we, and all of our fellow scrappers and card-makers, could do to help!

We've since held "Card-a-thons" where we supply the materials, then we, and our customers, create geeting cards to send overseas to the troops so that they can send them home to their families and friends. All Occasion and holiday cards are needed, with holiday cards needing to be sent over early to allow for mailing time. We generally make blank cards which leave more room for them to write their own messages, but cards with sentiments inside are also welcome.

Customers are welcome to make cards at home and bring them in to donate at any time as well. We've even had stamping/card-making groups donate several beautiful cards which they made during their own card-a-thons!

We've also extended an invitation to boy- and girl- scout troops, 4-H members, church groups, and other service organizations to come in and use our classroom and supplies to help create more cards. If you know of a group that would like to participate, please phone us and we'll reserve the space for a time that works for you. It would also be great if you could include photos of your group, and some letters to the troops from them as well!

Not into card-making, but still wanting to contribute in some way? We're happy to take donations of envelopes, stickers, paper, etc. for the cause! Postage has been donated for Memories, Ink. to send the cards overseas. All cards will be sent on periodically to the platoon leaders, who will disperse them to the troops. Any emails/letters sent to the store from our military will be posted on our website and in the store.
